This is my video analysis for The Quiet Place
Introduction:
The text is from the extract from The Quiet Place. The filmmaker sought to convey the impression that the town they dwell in is dead and has no civilization. It's also abandoned for a long time and that the characters - a group of family are alone and has a common rule of where they communicate using sign language and to distance themselves from making loud noises.
Paragraph:
1. The filmmaker wanted to convey a dead and has no citizens town by using different type of media technical elements such as to imply a peaceful and mute area of the town, they use diegetic sound where the noise of wind and leaves rustling - this is done to show the audience that the town has no sound produced by living things as what a normal town would be where we can hear people chattering and even auto-mobile passing by. They also implied that the town is abandoned by using mise-en-scene of props of posters of missing person that has been stacked up
